The NetVanta 3200 Modular Access Router from Adtran is designed for easy Internet access, corporate Frame Relay, and point-to-point connectivity. The NetVanta 3200 is a single-slot, standalone unit in a plastic housing with interchangeable network interface module (NIM) slot for adding the bundled T1/FT1 NIM. To enable operation in mixed Ethernet environments, the router includes autosensing 10/100Base-T interface. With built-in stateful inspection firewall, it delivers powerful, high-performance security. It examines all incoming and outgoing packets against the security policies established by the IT Manager. In addition, the firewall can identify and protect against common Denial of Service (DoS) attempts like TCP syn flooding, IP spoofing, ICMP redirect, ping-of-death, and IP reassembly problems. For even more security, the router has built-in alert and logging mechanisms to notify network administrators about suspicious activities going on in the network.
