The NetVanta 3205 Modular Access Router from Adtran is designed for easy Internet access, corporate Frame Relay, and point-to-point connectivity. The NetVanta 3205 is a 1U high, rack-mountable metal enclosure with interchangeable network interface module (NIM) slot for adding for adding the bundled T1/FT1 + DSX-1 NIM. To enable operation in mixed Ethernet environments, the router includes autosensing 10/100BaseT interface. It supports static and default routes, and allows for fast, accurate network convergence using routing protocols such as OSPF and RIP. With built-in stateful inspection firewall, the 3205 delivers powerful, high-performance security. It examines all incoming and outgoing packets against the security policies established by the IT Manager. In addition, the firewall can identify and protect against common Denial of Service (DoS) attempts like TCP syn flooding, IP spoofing, ICMP redirect, ping-of-death, and IP reassembly problems.
