The daughter of a Polish immigrant who works for Macy`s Department Store is the catalyst for the first ever Macy`s Parade, an event which was first held during the Christmas season. This fictional story concludes with an endnote that explains the actual origin of this annual event which is now held on Thanksgiving Day. Acrylic and oil illustrations accompany the text.
