In this mystery miniseries, originally aired on public broadcasting, a former Scotland Yard detective Albert Tyburn (Trevor Eve) is sent to Nairobi to lead a new criminal investigation unit, where he encounters a complex mix of blackmail, murder, and passion. As he works to fight crime in this gritty city, he also must contend with the colonialistic leanings of the country`s expatriate population. In THE SPORT OF KINGS, Tyburn dives into the case of a newspaper executive found murdered by arson in his bed. Because the man had recently been found innocent in a high-profile murder case, Tyburn must assess whether the cases are connected, but when he uncovers a series of shocking secrets, he must resolve the case quickly, as well as his ongoing love affair with Emma Fitzgerald (Susannah Harker).
