The beautiful and durable Wood-Handled Carving Axe is designed to resemble those used by Viking ship builders dating back to the 8th and 9th centuries. The head is investment cast with 440 stainless steel then bead-blasted for a quality stain finish. The knife-edge is hand applied by skilled artisans and is knife-sharp. The ergonomically curved handle is carved from laminated Baltic birch. Includes a leather protective covering.
